Cannon Design is set to deliver the programming, planning and design for the new $34 million, 164,000 SF Northern Kentucky University Campus Recreation Center expansion. The project includes 85,000 SF of renovations to the existing Albright Health Center to update the existing gymnasium, track, racquetball courts, weight-fitness space, and minor improvements to Kinesiology. The expansion features a new performance gymnasium, indoor recreational pool (with lap lanes, spa, 1 meter diving and fitness activities), MAC, weight-fitness space, group exercise rooms, bouldering wall, offices and an outdoor turf field complex with soccer and softball fields. The remaining 56,000 SF of the existing building will receive minor HVAC upgrades. This project is being completed in partnership with Omni Architects.
