Tuscaloosa City Schools 2012 School Status Reports

The efforts of Tuscaloosa City Schools teachers students, parents, administrators and community partners in all schools provided a rich learning environment.? Countless hours are invested each and every day to provide high-quality instruction to all students.

All 13 elementary schools met 100% of their goals for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the 2011-2012 school year.? No elementary school will be in school improvement for 2012-2013.

Five of six middle schools met 100% of their goals for AYP for the 2011-2012 school year.? Westlawn Middle School did not meet its goals set in reading and math for special education students.? Westlawn?s school Improvement status is to be determined.?? Eastwood Middle School did meet 100% of its goals but will be in school improvement, year 1 delay.

All three high schools met the additional academic indicators for graduation rate by showing improvement; however, none of them met 100% of their goals in reading and math.? All high schools will offer supplemental educational Services (SES) to all interested students.
